Launched in July 2012, Mrs Bow Tie was the brainchild of Andy Evans and Lianne Hill, who combined their knowledge to launch a commercial ecommerce brand. But the story behind Mrs Bow Tie began much earlier, 1982 to be exact. You can read more about Andy and Lianne below.

So who actually is Mrs Bow Tie? Well Mrs Bow Tie was Andy’s nickname for Lianne when they first became friends, and it seemed a relevant and endearing name to give our brand.

Over the years Mrs Bow Tie has evolved substantially, developing a number of sister brands that were later merged into Mrs Bow Tie to make it the fabulous brand it is today.

Since Mrs Bow Tie burst onto the scene we’ve seen continued success and recognition, featuring in publications and blogs around the world, including British GQ, British Vogue, Brides, GQ India, and RockMyWedding.com. Mrs Bow Tie isn’t short of famous fans either, being worn by public figures that include Olympic diver Tom Daley, TV veteran Sir Terry Wogan, YouTuber Jim Chapman, singer Rochelle Wiseman, actress Amanda Holden and politician George Osborne.

The first three years have seen us move to bigger premises on four occasions to accommodate the success of Threadster (Mrs Bow Tie’s parent company) and the growing team.
